Due to retirement, the City of Scribner is accepting applications for the position of Utility Superintendent.
This position requires a licensing in water and wastewater. Experience and/or training with electricity, including maintenance and repair of municipal distribution system and the operation of electrical generation units are preferred.
The responsibilities include: the direction of city employees in water, wastewater, electrical distribution/generation operation, streets and parks.
The Utility Superintendent will be supported by the Natural Gas Superintendent and other cross-trained personnel.
You must have the ability to lead effectively, communicate goals to employees, while being responsible for their safety, compliance, record keeping and testing. The position is an on-call rotation and you must have the physical ability to work for extended periods of time in all types of weather.
The candidate for the position must hold or be able to obtain a Grade 3 Water License and a Class 2 Waste-Water license within the first year.
The salary will be based on qualifications and experience. The City of Scribner offers an excellent benefit package.
