Located in the center of a residential area east of Main Street, this one block square park has been designated as a Nebraska Arboretum Affiliate Site with the planting and labeling of many varieties of new trees and shrubs.
This lovely park is the center of outdoor activities all year long. In the summer it is where many children play, run and pretend. There is playground equipment and lots of park benches, picnic tables, shelters and restroom facilities . . . The basketball court is always busy.
This park has long been the site of family picnics and reunions. The old historic bandstand is in the center of the park and was the site of many band concerts and entertainment. Nearby is the Firemen’s Monument, a memorial to firefighters lost in the line of duty.
This lovely and tranquil site invites visitors to stop and drink in the beauty of the outdoors.
